Young Adult Therapy (Aged 18-25)

While this a great time to gain extra support for adjusting to the transition into adulthood and all the challenges it presents, it is also the age when some young adults begin to exhibit symptoms of mental health disorders. Some of the symptoms are listed below. It is important to remember, the sooner one receives help, the better one can manage their symptoms.

Time to seek help:

  • Unhealthy, volatile relationships
  • Self-Isolation
  • Irritability and aggression, signs of self-harm, extreme mood swings, or extended periods of sadness and worrying
  • Poor performance in college or at work; difficulty keeping a job
  • Lack of motivation, goals, and a purpose
  • Insomnia at night, sleeping all day
  • Poor eating habits
  • Lack of physical activity
  • Not showering
  • Feeling generally unwell
  • Overusing technology to avoid stressors and social events, with friends or family
  • Self-medicating or escaping through substance use/abuse
